We all knew it was coming, but tonight on MLG’s weekly ProScrim stream, MLG’s Chris Puckett confirmed it: the FAL OSW is banned in competitive play and will not be allowed at MLG Anaheim in June.
There’s been a strong reaction to the use of the FAL in recent events and while some players are calling for a nerf in the hip fire accuracy, clip size, and recoil, others want it banned outright.
In the end, that’s what it came down to.
“The FAL is now a new restricted primary weapon for the Spring Qualified 4 and Anaheim,” said Chris Puckett.
The pro community represents a small portion of the overall Black Ops 2 community and isn’t large enough to justify a full patch at this time.
Do you think the ban is deserved?
